Supported by his family, friends, and advisors, he needs to protect his kingdom and his allies from enemies both known and unknown. A Feeling in the Bones is the eighth installment of this well-written and well-developed Second Son Chronicles series.
Faithful readers of this series will continue to be entranced by Ms. Taylor’s tale-weaving and research skills. The focus is slowly bringing in the next generation, and as times change, the traditional ways are changing with them. The author’s love of history is very evident, and she is adept at educating and entertaining the reader simultaneously. Some new characters are introduced in this novel, and they promise to add some interesting side stories to future installments. Although not as much action is involved as in most of the previous novels, the door is left wide-open for an exciting sequel to come, something guaranteed to appeal to Taylor’s fans.
