Why choose Sublime Book Review?

Finding the right reviews for the right budget can be hard for an Indie or self-published author. And in many cases, you unknowingly pay for a review that is 100% guaranteed positive. While it’s nice for a reviewer to tell you your book is “the greatest book ever written,” this doesn’t necessarily help you, the author, and it certainly doesn’t help the industry leaders (librarians, booksellers, media professionals) make calculated decisions about purchasing your book or requesting your title for their library.

The Century’s Scribe tells the tale of two worlds; one in which humans and humanoid birds live side-by-side, and another populated by humans. A group of friends from the first world are transported to the second via the Sunitian Sea, seemingly by accident, to find new friends, technologies, and threats.

This fantasy adventure takes the reader to worlds that have similarities to our own with a well-incorporated mix of settings and characters that are far from ordinary. The author does an excellent job of building those worlds for us, making them come alive on the pages. The story begins with different settings in each realm while introducing well fleshed-out characters, until the reader witnesses the connection that slowly unfolds between them. My sole problem was the lack of resolution at the end, leaving us to wait for the next release. A great strategy to set up a subsequent novel, but I found it lacked closure. All in all, however, it was a great read.

Sublime Line: “The Century’s Scribe effectively immerses the reader in two fantasy worlds with relatable characters, entertaining situations, and engaging action scenes.”
