A young woman secluded in a strange town in Alaska, a reclusive man mourning the loss of his wife and child, a brilliant woman fighting to maintain control of her technological company, and her enigmatic eight-year-old child. The four of them unite on an isolated island where everyone has their own agenda, and artificial intelligence and highly advanced genetics are at war with morality.
A science fiction novel set in an unknown period, this story is fast-paced and highly imaginative, making it difficult to put down. The descriptions of the settings are well-done, and the characters expertly drawn. Sophia is a villainess that evokes both loathing and empathy, while the protagonists tug at our heartstrings. The numerous twists and turns of the plot guaranteed that it held my interest, and it culminated in an unexpected and satisfying ending. This is a science fiction novel that has it all: action, adventure, originality, and romance – definitely everything that meets the expectations of lovers of the genre.
Sublime Line: “Titan’s Tears is a fast-paced and highly imaginative sci-fi novel with unexpected twists that capture the reader’s attention from the outset.”
