Madison Taylor is a young, smart entrepreneur with her own time travel business. She transports people to the time and place of their choosing, and, with the help of her team, organizes her client’s experiences to keep them safe and satisfied. Everything usually goes smoothly, until she has the opportunity of a lifetime: a contract with a movie studio to transport two movie stars, their director, and some crew members to 1888 London. What was meant to be a learning experience turns to disaster at the hands of a spoiled and entitled starlet.
This novel should come with an addiction alert. I’ve read and enjoyed the previous time travel series by Christy Cooper-Burnett, but this time, she took it from a different angle. She moved it into the not-so-distant future, and she incorporated a different style of characters. I immediately felt at ease with all of them, even those less likeable. Once again, she has a strong female lead who readers can identify with. The writing style holds a dash of humor, at times whimsical, but with plenty of suspense. The author also succeeded in keeping me off base. Whenever I predicted what would happen next, she sent the story in another direction. This is an outstanding beginning to another series, and I can only hope Ms. Cooper-Burnett writes fast enough to bring us the sequel as soon as possible.
Sublime Line: “Passport to Terror is an outstanding must-read beginning to a series that promises to be addictive.”
