Why choose Sublime Book Review?

Lover Come Back is the second installment in the Lori Daniels thriller series, and it follows the escapades of the detective and her team as they try to uncover a plot by a corrupt city official who will stop at nothing to gain control of the city and a criminal gang.

 This novel boasts some action-packed scenes, and the basic premise of the series is good. However, the dialogue is stilted and unrealistic, which proves distracting. Without offering any spoilers, there are some plot points that need to be resolved. But the author has laid the groundwork for the third novel in the series. For those who enjoyed the first novel, this one would be for you.
