Set in the not-so-distant future, archaeology meets law enforcement in All Hope of Becoming Human when the discovery of a huge underground object coincides with an overwhelming surge of bizarre and gruesome killings by creatures of unknown origin. Assistant archaeologist Rebecca Duccati has an otherworldly experience while studying a site in Arizona that includes a huge metallic object, and she becomes a valuable source of information in solving the mystery behind the grisly murder spree being investigated by FBI Special Agent Zach Demzey.
This novel is a unique combination of science fiction, horror, dystopia, and thriller. The action is fast paced, but the author takes the time to fully develop the characters, draw the reader into the finely tuned plot, and present the science and history behind the dreadful discoveries. Busch doesn’t shy away from bestowing faults and weaknesses on his characters, making them all the more believable and relatable. Not for the faint of heart, this novel reaches out to thrill and horrify its readers with action-packed sequences and vivid imagery. Able to appeal to a wide audience, it’s certain to keep its readers rapidly turning the pages.
Sublime line: “Busch delivers an engaging and action-packed novel with intriguing characters and a finely-tuned plot.”
